Dr. Cecchini is a lifelong resident of the Chicagoland suburbs, and currently resides in the North Shore. While his entire family is in the healthcare field, he fell in love with dentistry after volunteering in the Dominican Republic and witnessing the transformative power of dental care.

Dr. Cecchini graduated from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor’s in Molecular and Cellular Biology. He went on to earn his Master’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the Illinois Institute of Technology.

Dr. Cecchini received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University in Downers Grove. Since then, he’s been certified in implant dentistry, Botox, Invisalign, and laser dentistry. Dr. Cecchini is a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, achieved by less than 6% of dentists, demonstrating his dedication to delivering the highest quality care possible.

Away from the dental office, Dr. Cecchini spends most of his free time with his wife, Torey, their daughter, Mila, and their dog, Benny. He enjoys camping, rowing, hiking, biking, and cooking his family’s Italian recipes that have been passed down through multiple generations. He’s also an avid Chicago sports fan, and enjoys cheering on the White Sox and the Bulls.

About Fellow

Dr. Toraason was born and raised in Peru, IL, and is the eleventh of thirteen children!  His family has been involved in dentistry for decades as his two brothers, grandfather, two uncles, and his great grandfather were all dentists. You can say that dentistry runs in the family!

Dr. Toraason graduated from the University of Illinois in 1983 with an undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Ecology. He then attended the Loyola University School of Dentistry, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree cum laude in 1988. Dr. Toraason went on to further advance his clinical skills in hospital emergency care and complex dental medicine during his residency at the Michael Reese Hospital.

Dr. Toraason started private practice with Dr. Alan Keyes and has been practicing in the North Shore community for more than 30 years. He became an instructor and attending dentist at the Evanston Hospital where he continued to serve his patients and the community. He serves on the Executive Council of the American Prosthodontics Society Executive Council where he is also the Local Arrangements Director.

In his free time, Dr. Toraason enjoys spending time with his wife of 35 years, Debbie (who is also a dentist!), and their three sons, Joe, Jeff, and John. Dr. Toraason and his wife now have two grandchildren with a third one on the way. His greatest pleasure is spending time with them! He also enjoys hiking, kayaking, gardening, cooking, and taking care of his at-home aquarium.

Your convenience is our priority. That’s why we have invested in our own state-of-the-art CT and digital scanners. These tools improve the accuracy of examination and help us to create thorough, individualized treatment plans for all kinds of patient needs. Since our CT scanner is conveniently located right in our office, we are able to provide all kinds of treatments without needing to refer you elsewhere.

Our philosophy of care goes beyond the office walls. We believe that it is our responsibility to care for patients, both in and out of the operating chair, and one of the best ways to do this is through community outreach. Dr. Cecchini most recently participated in Bright Island Outreach, where he provided dental care to underserved communities in the Dominican Republic.
